Finding faults

It seems no matter what we do. Someone always finds a fault with us and accuses us of it. Then because of their accusations we actually attain that fault. Instead of retreating to silence, we correct them on a fault we see in them and tell them what they are doing wrong. We must realize and remember, we have a bigger fault in ourselves and must remove it, before we can take the little fault out of the other person. That way we can see clearly to remove the little fault in them. Sometimes we are so blinded by our own faults that we forget that they are there. Then thinking since we can't see them, they must not be there, so we assume we are able to remove the little fault from the other person. And lo, and behold they bring to your attention all the faults within yourself, and you walk away ashamed and humiliated. By exposing, them you expose yourself. So be forewarned! You may see their faults, but be assured they will see yours!

I Have

I've lived
I've died

I've prayed
I've lied

I've sung
I've cursed

I've flown
I've cheated

I've remembered
I've forgotten

I've loved
I've lost

Who am I?
I am everyone who has loved and hurt, been sad and happy, who have died a little inside when lost a love, and are in need of forgiveness by those that love them most.

The Forgotten Prairie

She stood in a field of grass shimmering like gold in the sun. The wind blew across the grass, hearing the sound of waves as if she was standing by the sea. Her wispy gown fluttered about provoked by the warm breeze. Her red hair shown brilliantly in the sun as if on fire, causing her to be the brightest spectacle in the middle of the forgotten prairie. All about her, she saw wild flowers in colors of white, yellow, and lavender. She soaked in every inch of this beautiful place knowing it must be a dream.

My Name is Laughter

My name is Laughter
I'm a good medicine
And I even help you lose weight
There are those who are so serious
But I wish to cheer them up

I am heard in the voice of children
Contently playing unselfishly with one another
I am heard in the happy family
Honestly working for and loving each other

I am not heard on the tongues of rich men
Hoarding and selfish only thinking of me me me
I am not heard in many walls of the church
For they only utter, Gimme Gimme Gimme

I can only be heard with clarity purity and innocence
When the heart is ready to give and share their life with others
For what is it worth if you have everything you desire
But you do not have anyone to share it with

My name is Laughter
My true nature is sometimes mistaken
Mistaken for drunkenness and revelry
But you cannot escape your problems
The only true happiness comes
When you work through your problems
Only then can true laughter be found

Those Hazel Eyes

Barking so much she almost makes me cry
But every time I look in those hazel eyes
I forget my tears and I forget my anger
In those hazel eyes
When she approaches me with her fur so snowy white
I come to think how could I be so angry with a dog so lovely as she
As she peers at me with those hazel eyes
Sometimes she just wants some lovin'
For a belly rub and some quality attention
So she rolls over and I give in, to those hazel eyes
Getting up to leave, she sticks out her paw and touches my leg
And pleads for me to stay with those hazel eyes
No matter if she's good or bad, I will still love her
Because she only longs for love and attention
And I can see it in those hazel eyes

This a dedication to my dog, Lila Jane
and to all that love and care for her.

Oh Romeo, Romeo wherefore art thou Romeo!?!?

Romeo Schmomeo
Who cares where he is
As long as he treats me nice
And is not the next of kin

The Beach

Clear and blue, the water shines like diamonds as the waves crash on the beach.
The sandy crystals feel good as they filter in the cracks between my toes.
A crab wanders by with his home on his back, peering curiously in my direction.
A breeze blows my wavy hair as I soak up the rays of the warm sunshine.
To my utter delight, I see dolphins playing nearby splashing around.
The palm trees sway their branches, and a coconut thunks upon the ground.
As the rushing waves rhythmically go back and forth, back and forth.

There is a sense of calm when on a beach.
So carefree, no worries, and so much beauty all around.
A place where nature and people meet in blissful harmony.
